Stage 2

Last night, Rhea tried her first stage 2 fruit. We decided to give her the tastes she knows first, then we will introduce some of the new flavors. Last night she had pears, which she had tried before, and it went well. From what I could tell, the only differences between the stage 1 and stage 2 pears were the container size and the consistency - it looks like these pears have a little more texture to them. We thought we would start with half of the container since it is bigger, but after eating half, Rhea still wanted more, so we gave her the rest and she had no problem finishing it!

One thing we were surprised about when shopping for Rhea's food was that a lot of the stage 2 fruit options have berries in them, which Rhea's doctor told us to avoid because if she eats them too soon she can develop allergies to them. So, we will wait until after Rhea's next doctor's appointment to try anything with berries. Also, in stage 2, there are meal options - chicken and rice, for example - and meat and poultry by itself. Again, we just want to check with her doctor before trying these because they feel like a big leap from sweet potatoes alone and we want to make sure she is ready. Guess, we'll find out next week...
