Well, Rhea is another month older - 7 months old today. I feel like she is changing everyday, but the biggest change over the last month has been her understanding of next steps. She knows that as soon as bathtime is over, it's time for quiet and one last bottle before bed and now when we bring her downstairs she is looking for that bottle. She also knows that when she spits up, we will clean it. So as soon as she spits up, she stops what she is doing and looks at us, so we can wipe it off. She also knows that as she gets toward the end of the bottle, she needs to tip it up to get the last of the formula. Recently, she has started pausing while eating to check how much is left and then adjusting her hold on the bottle as needed.
And while Rhea has started to figure things out, so have we. We now know what will make her laugh every time (chasing mommy or daddy while in the other one's arms) and what will distract her when she's upset (looking out the window works everytime). We also are starting to be able to identify her favorite toys and favorite things to do and it's so exciting that she now has favorites. She's truly turning into her own little person and it's so amazing to watch.
So, happy 7 month birthday baby girl - we can't wait to see what the next month brings.
