Happy Easter

Rhea's first Easter was a huge success! It started on Friday, which was a holiday for Rhea and mommy. We went to see the Easter bunny at the mall. As I put Rhea in the bunny's arms, I backed away ready for her to start screaming, but, she didn't make a sound! Instead, she spent the entire time trying to turn around to look at the bunny. It was tough to get a picture of her looking at the camera because she was so busy trying to look back, but we did manage to get one of her looking forward and it's so cute! I'll scan the picture this week and post it.

Yesterday was a lot of fun. When we woke up in the morning we gave Rhea her Easter basket, which we didn't fill with candy for mommy and daddy to eat. Instead, we filled it with practical gifts for Rhea - a couple of summer outfits, 2 new books, a few new toys and a pair of sunglasses. Rhea was definitely interested in her basket and as we took things out and gave them to her, she was excited....to put them in her mouth! Seriously, she was just happy to have something to chew on.

After that, we went to my aunt's house so Rhea could see her cousin Arwen, who is 2 months younger than Rhea. The two girls were so cute together and I think we all took 50 pictures of them sitting together on the couch.

After the photo shoot, we went to another aunt's house for an Easter egg hunt. Rhea had eggs hidden, which mommy and daddy found for her. We'd show her the eggs and she would look at them with a baffled look. Even though she didn't quite know what was going on, she seemed to enjoy running around in mommy's arms outside. The tradition at my aunt's is that after we find eggs, we then go inside for a treasure hunt where we find hidden gifts. So, that's what we did and Rhea got some awesome new toys and clothes. We piled up her gifts in front of her and she was excited as we opened them and gave her something new to hold.

Our next and final stop was to my dad's house for Easter dinner, which was delicious. Rhea was so exhausted that she slept the entire first hour we were there, which was perfect, since that was the time we were eating.

Today, we are all recovering from a very busy and memorable day :)
