Rhea had her first-ever dentist appointment today and considering how horrible going to the dentist is, she did pretty good.It helped that the dentist office we went to had an aquarium in the waiting room, which meant instant happy girl.
When they called us in they brought Rhea to a sink and gave her a new toothbrush that she could use right then and there to brush her teeth. After that, she sat in the big chair and waited for the hygienist and dentist.
The first thing the hygenist did was give Rhea a cool pair of sunglasses to wear so the bright light wouldn't hurt her eyes . Then:
They counted her teeth - all 20 baby teeth are in. Rhea liked this part.
They used the electric toothbrush on her. Rhea didn't like this part as much.
They flossed her teeth. Rhea hated this part.
It's fair to say the appointment became less and less fun for Rhea as it went on. But, it ended with 2 stickers (Spongebob and Thomas), so she left happy.
And mommy left happy too because Rhea didn't have any cavities and doesn't have to go back for 6 months! YAY! :)
